Our courses

Our fear of flight courses is organised in collaboration with the Centre of Treatment for fear of flight (Centre Traitement Peur Avion)

This center helps over 500 people each year to overcome their fears of taking the airplane on holidays or a buisiness trip. Are you afraid for any airplane crash and ask yourself questions about some weather phenomena like turbulence, shears and doubt the safety of aviation?

Are you afraid to feel sick and anxious during the flight because you can't bear it to be locked up for a long period of time in a closed pressurised compartment and you're afraid, because you can't take control of the situation? Are you marked by an event or related "bad" experience during an earlier flight?

The courses are held in one day, starting from 10 am till 19pm in groups of maximum participants. There are breaks provided for the lunch and a tea-break too which are included in the price of the course.

Training course

After defining the normal stress we will discuss specifically the aviation stress. The following various anxiety disorders related to air stress will be discribed and explained:altiphobia, claustrophobia and agoraphobia, aeronautical stress, general anxiety and panic attacks. The sort of aviation stress are very diversified.


The most common fears are the feeling of being isolated and lonely, responsability, fear of losing control, stressful environment, overload of stress, trauma, lack of aeronautical information, knowledge and contagion.

We will relief the passengers from stress and anxiety of flying. The theoretical part will be ended by a provision of information about how an airplane is flown and a brief course on the regulations of aviation and meteorology.

 

We will also brief a summary about the most common fears: fear of crashing, failure of systems, turbulence, fear of losing control, stalling from the sky and fear of physical sensations assiociated with anxiety.



The day will be ended by a session of flight simulator Boeing 737 where the participants will get the opportunity to take the controls of the aircraft and experience the airline pilot sensation. The flight sessions are assisted by professional pilots who will supervise over all the different phases for conducting the flight.

This experience will help to understand the operation of an aircraft, but also the source of the noises heard in the cabin and vibrations experienced during a flight.
